Future Twinterns

Recently, I’ve been involved in a number of twintern projects for recruiting firms looking to build networks. I’m a big believer that managed correctly, this can be really beneficial. I have teamed up with a London University on a programme that provides interns and funds their pay at £250 a week for 12 weeks.

The interns I have interviewed and taken on have been of a very high standard with plenty of experience of social media channels, and the majority graduated this year and were looking for real opportunities to gain experience. By offering that opportunity you will benefit from effort and commitment provided you invest real-time, training and provide meaningful work. Interns are not cheap labour!

If you are thinking of introducing twinterns to help develop your social presence, we will be running a series of tracks at #truManchester to specifically discuss this topic. To get the best advice I have invited the twinterns involved in the project to talk about their experiences, representatives from the university to talk about the type of interns and funding programmes available and Martin Edmondson from Graduates Yorkshire to give you the opportunity to have a meaningful conversation away from the theory.
